Title Lost: WWF Womens Championship Lost Title To: Fabulous Moolah The Original Screwjob. If you want to see a wrestling interpretation of Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, just watch the aftermath of this match. The backstory leading up to this match has changed somewhat over the years (and softened a bit too with Richter being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2010), but the bottom line was that Womens Champion Richter wasnt happy with the company, and Vince McMahon wasnt happy with her. This led to a masked opponent, the Spider (Lady) challenging her at Madison Square Garden. Several minutes into the bout, the Spider hooked an inside cradle and the ref fast-counted to three, despite Richter kicking out at or even before two. Even with Howard Finkel announcing Moolah (whom Richter unmasked during a post-match brawl) as the new champ, Richter kept coming, whipping her with the belt until she fled the ring. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDcc766HzxA Richter would not be seen in WWE again until her HOF induction nearly 15 years later. Moolah would hold the belt for another seven-plus months before dropping the title to Velvet McIntyre for all of six days.
