20 WWE Champions Who Never Got Their Rematch

14. Lita

Title Lost: WWE Women€™s Championship Lost Title To: Trish Stratus Title Lost: WWE Women€™s Championship Lost Title To: Mickie James Poor Lita. Has anyone lost their title twice in a two-month span and been denied a rematch both times? Both situations, however, involved retirements, so it€™s not like there was a vast conspiracy against the Hall of Famer. Lita lost her Women€™s Championship to a retiring Trish Stratus at Unforgiven in 2006 in Trish€™s hometown of Toronto (tapping out to the Sharpshooter, no less). Lita would go on to win the vacant title six weeks later and announce that she also was retiring at Survivor Series and planned to go out as champ. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WbwGuVJZT0 Enter Mickie James, who had lost to Lita in the tournament finals. Mickie redeemed herself and saved WWE from having to hold two tournaments for a vacant women€™s title that fall. While it kind of stunk for Lita to go out like that, WWE gave two of their most talented female wrestlers great platforms to go out on €“ in high-quality, PPV championship matches. Win or lose, that€™s not a bad way to end your career.
