10. Austin Accidentally Eliminated Himself At Rumble '96

It's a lot of painstaking work meticulously planning the intricate comings and goings of a 30-man match of the Rumble's nature, so the last thing you want is someone to fluff their cue. That's exactly what happened at the '96 event, when a baby-oil soaked incident had people backstage wailing.

Steve Austin, in his debut Rumble, had been booked to make the final four as a show of early faith in his potential. Only, Fatu of the Headshrinkers had slapped on so much oil, that the then-Ringmaster slipped off the ropes during a planned exchange, and straight to the floor. Luckily, the literal slip didn't derail Austin's WWE career; he went on to win his first of three Rumbles just a year later.
