6. Ivory Vs Chyna (2001)

Kicking off a miserable final six months of Chyna's historic WWE run, the last proper angle of her career reached its shameful nadir in January 2001.

Protesting Chyna's hugely successful Playboy pictorial, the ultra-sensitive Right to Censor group set out to banish her from WWE altogether, injuring the 'Ninth Wonder of the World's neck with a vicious Spike Piledriver. Against doctor's orders, Chyna sought revenge on the group, agreeing to 'step down' into the female division to take out group cheerleader Ivory and claim her Women's Title.

A two-minute squash, the beating was proceeding as expected, until Chyna collapsed to floor after hitting a weak-looking handspring elbow. Sneaking a quick fall, Ivory snuck away with the title, leaving Chyna to sell the fear of a potentially broken neck.

Leaping to her aid, Jerry Lawler left the announce booth whilst Jim Ross used his most sombre tones to project the severity. With half the roster shelved or under the knife with neck troubles as it was, not to mention the recent paralysis of Droz and death of Owen Hart both extremely fresh in viewers minds, the whole angle felt in extremely poor taste, and to make matters worse, was horribly performed by virtually everybody associated.
