15. The Boogeyman Vs JBL (2006)

Marking the first of two very high profile victories for the Boogeyman on Pay-Per-View in 2006, JBL was the first bewildered sacrificial lamb for the one-note worm-munching oddball.

Built around JBL's abject (and fairly justified) fear of whatever The Boogeyman was supposed to be, the match itself ran thankfully short, as JBL and manager Jillian Hall's stalling should have gone some way to entertaining the crowd, had it not been for the utterly disgusting moment in which Boogey spat worms into Jillian's mouth.

Following the histrionics, JBL initially beat down Boogey on the floor and choked him out with wrist tape, before graciously laying down for his opponent's Pump Handle Slam in less than two minutes.

Having concluded a well-received WWE Title run less than a twelve months earlier, JBL probably deserved better than a meaningless squash on one of the biggest shows of the year. But as his first retirement later that year would suggest, he was physically past his sell-by date. The short match at very least served both his limitations and fan patience with his ludicrous opponent.
