In 2014, and again at the start of 2015, a viral news story circulated about the death of Mark Calaway. But this was just clickbait nonsense, designed to get people to click on a fake story and to share it on social media. It ended up spreading like wildfire, but it was of course 100% bulls***! The bogus article stated "Mark The Undertaker Calaway was found in his Houston home dead late last night by his wife Michelle McCool." Then came another story at the start of 2015, in which it was claimed that Calaway died while out riding his motorcycle. Amazingly, some websites actually reported on these "news" posts. He's had to deal with a lot of BS rumours in his life, but stories of his death are taking things way too far.
