20 WWE Ruthless Aggression Era Tag Teams You've Already Forgotten

6. La Resistance

The United States had a hate affair with France in 2003, and the consequences of that enmity made it all the way down to the Raw midcard. The original La Resistance was comprised of Rene Dupree and Sylvain Grenier, but they'd eventually add American Super Turncoat Robert Conway to their number. If you don't remember, yes, he started pronouncing his name "Ro-BEAR Con-WAY".

The team had some success, most notably in defeating the Hall of Fame dream team of Hulk Hogan and Edge, but the good times just couldn't last. For one thing, no one on the team could seem to decide if they were from France or from French Canada. Rene Dupree eventually decided he was from Paris and got himself a poodle and a giant tricolor flag. Conway would become a discount Rick Rude who insisted on doing things "the Con way", and somehow wound up a two-time NWA champion. Sylvain Grenier does French language commentary for TNA. Leave the memories alone, Le Res.

Today They'd Be: Making Sylvester Lefort a very happy man.
