Intense, ramblings promos, high-impact movesets, and limited in-ring skills mean that there is more than just an excess of muscles that The Warrior and The Big Guy share in common. Throw a wig on the former Skip Sheffield and it’s like twins. Well, maybe not quite twins, but you get the idea.

Warrior is a true icon of the wrestling business, achieving huge success and even becoming more popular than Hulk Hogan at one point in time. As for Ryback, he was skyrocketed to the main event scene and then dropped faster than The Big Show in a restroom.

In fairness to Ryback, there’s no denying that he has vastly improved over the last 12 months or so, both in the ring and in his promo work, and as much as it pains me to say, he’s actually better between the ropes than The Warrior was.

Still, there’s a fair few more feeding times needed before The Big Guy gets anywhere close to matching the success of Ultimate Warrior.
