20 WWE Superstars That Hacked Off Their Hair
14. The British Bulldog
Speaking of the Hart Foundation, Davey Boy Smith first came upon the WWF scene as part of the groundbreaking tag team known as The British Bulldogs along with 'Dynamite Kid' Tom Billington. The team departed the WWF in late 1988 and it would be several years until the British Bulldog name was heard of again.
In 1991, much to the displeasure of Billington, Davey Boy returned to the WWF using the singles moniker of 'The British Bulldog', and with a new hairstyle.
In what was arguably the most iconic look of The British Bulldog's career, Davey Boy had grown his hair down past his shoulders and braided it with beads the colors of the Union Jack on the end. Bobby Heenan would often mock it as a "Whoopi Goldberg hairdoo".
This would remain a staple of Davey's character for years including his WCW run that followed his termination from Titan Sports in 1992. When Bulldog made his second return to the WWF in 1994, he still had the long hair but sans braids and beads.
About a year later, Smith turned heel for the first time in his WWF career. To correspond with the change in character, he cut off his hair and would alternate between a crew cut and medium-length, slicked-back hair for the rest of his career.
