It was touch and go for a while, but The Miz has well and truly found his place in WWE. Almost seven years have passed since his WrestleMania main event and WWE Championship reign, and the A-Lister has never felt closer to another shot at the top of the card. For now though, The Miz is destined to be Intercontinental Champion.

Miz’s run on RAW wasn’t helped initially by the immediate arrival of Dean Ambrose, and the two continued their feud which may well have started back in Rio de Janeiro in 1979. The 'Most-Must See Superstar In WWE' is the longest-reigning champion in the company at this point, and that must count for something.

The Miz is a superstar who seems at home on the flagship show. He may never main event another WrestleMania, but the consistent quality of his promos and his company-friendly style will stand him in good stead for a long while yet. The Miz is going to be a marketable WWE performer for as long as he wants to be.

He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
