2020 WWE Predictions We Got Horribly Wrong

5. The Undertaker Will Retire For Real - Phil Chambers

“It’s exactly 30 years since he first came in so at Survivor Series 2020, The Undertaker will officially retire. It will be billed as an official retirement match, he’s going to lose it and he will walk out and that will be the last time we see The Undertaker in WWE.”

There will definitely be varying degrees of success in this article - I’m looking at you Wilbourn - but damn I’m good.

Ok, ok. Predicting The Undertaker would retire soon wasn't exactly the boldest on this list; especially after that Goldberg match in 2019. And yeah, alright, I did say it would be in a match, but I don't think anyone could have foreseen the Global Bastard™ and the impact it would have on wrestling, so I'm giving myself a pass there.

I also said he would lose and, well, he won the Boneyard match at WrestleMania which will technically be his last match. And I did say that it would be the last we see of him on WWE TV which, judging by the number of podcasts, documentaries, and Hotwings appearances he's done, is definitely not going to be the case. Not to mention a future Hall Of Fame induction. But at least I got the Survivor Series thing right, hey?

In all seriousness, his last match was one of the best matches of the year and, even though there were no fans in attendance, he ended his career on his own terms. Not many wrestlers get to say that so I'm taking this as a win.
