Major pro wrestling companies take literally thousands of photos each year. In World Wrestling Entertainment, it's not uncommon for wrestlers to engage in pre and post-match photoshoots, especially if they win a title. Obviously, not all of these pictures can or will be used, but the promotion documents almost everything that happens. In addition to WWE, organisations from the past like WCW are rich with photos that - for whatever reason - just don't make the cut. It makes sense that during a lengthy photo session, there's bound to be a number of snaps that just don't look all that great. That's what this collection of pictures focuses on, and goes even further to include some of the most utterly awkward wrestling photographs ever. The reasons why these pictures are awkward is pretty varied. Not all of them are serious, but they still come across as rather strange or unique. Unnatural poses, weird levels of tension between the people involved, and just downright odd photoshoot decisions are all included here. The cutting room floor at WWE headquarters would be a fascinating place to browse through. There must be thousands more images that are hilarious to look at, featuring an awkward tone. It's not really all that difficult to see why these snaps weren't used for anything other than galleries like this!
