What makes NXT such great viewing is that it genuinely feels different. After being spoon-fed the same old crap for years now, finally WWE fans get to enjoy something that’s a legitimately refreshing alternative.

On the WWE Network-exclusive All-Star Panel, Triple H talked about how his plan all along was to create NXT as a genuine alternative to the main roster programming rather than just churning out, as he put it, “Raw-lite or Smackdown-lite”.

Whatever Hunter’s plan, it works. It really, really works.

For someone so often accused of being one of Vince’s soldiers over the years, it’s great to see that The Game is aware of the bigger picture and open to taking the wrestling product in a different direction. That’s certainly something that bodes well for the future of the business.
