WWE will continue to fiddle around with Edge's history so long as it suits their narrative. For example, the fired-up Rumble winner told Bryan that night two of 'Mania 37 would be "10 years to the day" since he announced his retirement from the ring.

That's not strictly true.

Edge disclosed his injury woes on the 11 April 2011 Raw, but he didn't actually relinquish the old World Heavyweight Title or officially retire until the 15 April SmackDown (which was taped the night after Raw).
