Since turning babyface, the WWE writers have tried desperately to include a John Cena-esque sense of fun in Reigns' persona. It has largely fallen flat, and could be considered one of the key reasons his turn has been so vehemently rejected by many fans. Judging by this evidence, Roman seems quite capable of acting in a lighthearted manner on his own, and is perhaps best left to his own devices. A split-second before launching into his signature ring apron dropkick, Reigns gave a blink-and-you'd-miss-it shout out to Jimmy Uso on commentary. His casual call of "what up Uus" to the fellow babyface was barely picked up by the ringside microphones, but was one of the more charming Easter eggs of the entire show.
