The Royal Rumble 2015. What a joke, right fellas? That's the show where the dismal Roman Reigns push began, and has yet to cease ever since. Oh, and it was also the site of one of the best WWE title matches of all time, but whatever! A guy we don't like won a different match, and thus everything else is invalidated!

Seriously though, no one can deny what a belter John Cena, Seth Rollins, and then-champion Brock Lesnar put on right before the fateful Rumble match. Each man played their part perfectly: Brock the unstoppable monster who suplexed everyone and everything, John Cena the mainstay powerhouse reviled by the crowd, and Seth Rollins the young opportunist who pulled out amazing athletic displays. What resulted was a high-octane flurry of offense that never let up.

It was here that Seth Rollins, with his high-flying maneuvers and excellent character work, began his streak of amazing matches in 2015 that would cement his status as superstar of the year, and it's also what makes it harder to forget that it was... that other one from the Shield who WWE decided to make "the guy."
