This rivalry, in the main, has harked back to more serious times of WWE's past. Some of the promos John Cena and Kevin Owens have cut have been some of the best seen on the company's programming for some time. The words that come out of each man's mouth are legitimate. You believe what they are saying to be the truth. You don't think they are reciting lines from a script someone else made for them. This continued on RAW last night as the pair exchanged verbal blows. Just after Owens painted himself as the foreigner trying to take down the American patriarch in Cena, the United States Champion replied with this:
"These people are not indifferent to you because of where you're from or the language you speak. "They are indifferent to you Mr Owens because you are disrespectful suckbag."
All was going so well until that final word. Being from England, I'm personally not so sure of what the connotations of the word 'suckbag' are over in The States. But from what I can gather, suckbag is an alternative of douchebag, and if that's the case it simply isn't the right tone of word to use. It ruined the promo somewhat.
