22 WWE Stars From The 2000s That You Totally Don't Remember
10 years worth of grapplers that passed you by.
The WWE was in a bit of a slump in the aftermath of the highly successful Attitude Era. Several huge stars, including The Rock, Triple H and Steve Austin were either hit with injuries or left the company completely. There was a definite dearth of star power and business went down as a result. Vince and company did create some major stars to fill the gaps, such as Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Randy Orton and Batista. These guys carried the company as the legends were either going off to Hollywood or winding down their in-ring careers. Guys like Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker and Kurt Angle were not working full schedules due to their well-documented injury woes. So WWE needed to create talent to fill the cards and, hopefully, strike a chord with the masses and become a future superstar. It didn't always pan out that way, however, and there are lots of guys from this era who promised so much but ultimately had utterly forgettable careers in WWE. This was an era so much different to now, where guys would be on the roster for a couple of months or even weeks before being told that they weren't ready, would never be ready and that they were wished well in their future endeavours. So let's travel back to 'Ruthless Aggression' and beginning of the PG era to look at 22 grapplers who you probably forgot even wrestled for the company.
