Old WWWF veterans alive at the time might recall John Quinn's stint as 'The Kentucky Butcher' in the late-1960s. He was one of the many heels programmed against heroic champion Bruno Sammartino before later working in Japan and Europe (specifically All-Star in the UK) towards the end of his career.

Quinn held titles in the NWA, Stampede and All-Star. He passed aged 77 on 22 April.
