So, as EC3 orders him to bow down, pledge his allegiance to both himself and the title before kissing it, Jeff simply says, "You can't fire me, I quit!", telling EC3 to shove his job as he leaves the ringside area, while EC3 retorts that he can't quit because he's been fired EC3 then tells the crowd to stop chanting Jeff's name because he doesn't work here anymore, and begs the production team to keep the camera focused on him as the show goes off the air. And finally, this terribly retro storyline, in which the rules were never made clear, is finally over, it seems at least.
