25 Best WWE Raw Matches Ever

21. Bret Hart Vs Hakushi (July 24th, 1995)

As forgotten as the terrifying visual of Hart's severed head in a burlap sack that preceded it, 'The Hitman's phenomenal feud-ender with Hakushi was yet another statement of intent that year from 'The Excellence Of Execution' that he couldn't and wouldn't be undermined by lacklustre creative.

Bret and 'The White Angel' had lit up the very first In Your House pay-per-view in May, but Hakushi had since been relegated to a supporting role backing up Jerry 'The King' Lawler in his own strife with the former WWE Champion.

A simple story masterfully manipulated by the dynamic duo, Bret had to shake off the manager Shinja from before the bell rang and remained mindful of his interference throughout. A jaw-dropping sequence saw Hakushi land a beautiful springboard moonsault from the inside out, only for Bret to counter with springboard pump splash onto both heels - a move he only ever used once on camera.

Subduing the trouble-making manager enough to lock on a match-winning Sharpshooter, Bret then piledrove Shinja right out of the company once and for all. It was one of many exclamation points he'd be forced to put on some of 1995's most cartoonish rivalries.
