25 Best WWE Raw Matches Ever
22. Bayley Vs Charlotte Flair (February 13th, 2017)
Ignoring possibly the worst mishandling of a character this decade that shortly followed, Bayley's maiden title win remains the best women's Monday Night Raw main event from a choice selection since Trish Stratus and Lita made history in December 2004.
Rushing to the rematch from their enjoyable Royal Rumble opener, the two worked magnificently to instil brand new drama into their clash after a dominant Charlotte had cleanly polished her fellow 'Horsewomen' off a fortnight earlier. It was a battle of wills; Flair confidently portrayed herself as an unstoppable force despite Bayley's resolute refusal to lose. Impossible to predict but tantalising to endure, the pair subsequently had the audience whipped into a frenzy for a stretch of dramatic nearfalls late in the bout.
After close calls for the challenger from an elbow drop and top rope hurricanrana, Charlotte's title was briefly saved by interference from Dana Brooke. Levelling the field for her friend, Sasha Banks' interference seemed designed to muddy the waters between the two, but the fans and 'The Hugger' were too overjoyed to care.
