14. The Vaudevillians Fail Miserably

The Vaudevillians debuted on the main roster only days after Apollo Crews, and similar to Crews, there weren't many people clamoring to see them on Raw and SmackDown. Fans knew Crews was bound for big things down the road and needed more seasoning first, whereas there was a general feeling years ago that The Vaudevillians wouldn't work on the main roster.

The thing is, though, were they ever really that popular to begin with in NXT? Yes, they received a pretty loud reaction when they won the NXT Tag Team Championship at TakeOver: Brooklyn in August 2015, but it was Blue Pants who fans took to, not them. And they dropped the belts not long after, anyway.

They were pushed for a brief period of time when they initially arrived, but they were just another team for The New Day to beat on their road to becoming the longest--reigning tag team champions ever. Once they fell short of capturing the twin titles, The Vaudevillians faded off into obscurity and still haven't done anything of note since joining the SmackDown Live brand in July.

The writing might be on the wall for them in 2017 if they can't evolve as characters because whatever they're doing right now simply isn't clicking.
