25 Coolest Wrestling Attires Ever

Wrestling can be an ugly business, but it helps to look good doing it.

Look is pretty much everything in wrestling. In such a worked industry, the way the fans perceive a performer is far more important than how skilled they actually are, and a huge part of this perception revolves around image. You might be able to tear it up with any opponent in the ring, but in the bright lights of mainstream wrestling, you could easily be surpassed by a less-skilled guy with a cooler wardrobe. Of course, tastes change over time, and the idea of what constitutes "cool" wrestling attire has completely flipped several times. This list will attempt to look at attire in the context of its time; nobody would expect a main event WWE superstar to come out rocking tassels and warpaint in this day and age, nor would a gritty, grungy look have gotten over in the 1980s. Here are the 25 coolest attires in wrestling history, featuring the best singlets, trunks, tights and t-shirts ever seen inside the squared circle.

25. Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan's look is directly inspired by trainer William Regal, and involves classic burgundy trunks and boots. While Regal can be given credit for first bringing such traditional attire into the mainstream wrestling world, Bryan makes it onto this list for successfully rocking the look in an even slicker, even more new-fangled age. During his most famous stint, as snooty ultra-British heel in the WWF, Regal's attire was part of what made him so hatable. He saw himself as being cut from a more classic cloth, and his ring gear reflected that. Bryan's take on the look was another distinctive feature to set him apart as an unlikely hero, alongside his size, unassuming demeanour and indie background.
