When you talk about the greatest debuts in wrestling history, Chris Jericho's WWE arrival in 1999 is always near the top of fans' lists. From the epic countdown to the edgy clips of New York City life, the audience were already buzzing at the prospect of who was about to walk out onto the stage. But when the name "JERICHO" appeared on screen in giant blue letters, the live Chicago crowd exploded into one of the loudest pops in the company's history. While WCW didn't really know how to present Chris Jericho (he had been booked as everything from an earnest babyface to a cocky but clueless heel), WWE knew exactly where they wanted to take "Y2J", and his entrance video was sleek, sexy and hip. As Jericho shared in his first biography, "I rehearsed my ring entrance in the empty arena, and when I saw my new entrance video and heard my new music, I was in awe". So were we, Chris! So were we. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EgMAoTGLy4
