16. Edge

Retiring on Monday Night Raw seemed at odds with Edge's career peaks considering his tenure as SmackDown's top star for much of the decade, but he used some memorable Raw performances to etch his place in wrestling history during the Attitude Era and as a refined 'Rated-R Superstar'.

His work alongside Christian provided a humorous spine to the flagship show during a glorious and p*ss-funny period in 2000, whilst they damaged their literal ones taking bumps off and through ladders and tables respectively in clashes with Boyz Hardy and Dudley.

Programmes with Matt Hardy and John Cena over 2005 and 2006 crystallised his preparedness for the blue brand catbird seat. A wicked, conniving sh*tbag of a heel, Edge had been every kind of bad guy by the time he tearfully bid farewell as perhaps the most sympathetic babyface of the night.
