25 Greatest WWE WrestleMania Matches Ever

18. Macho Man Randy Savage Vs. Hulk Hogan (WrestleMania V)

WWE.com

When inducting Savage as part of last year's Hall of Fame class, Hogan noted how Savage would bring the people he worked with to his skyward level, even if he had to hit them a bit harder as a beckoning. That level of intensity was evident when Hogan and Savage locked horns in Atlantic City, and it was a far cry from Hogan's paint-by-numbers fare.

There's something about seeing Hogan away from the bounds of a 'safe' match, slugging it out with more oomph in his punches, and throwing Savage to the floor with a bodyslam. Savage slipped so seamlessly into the role of underhanded fiend, giving Hogan his most intriguing opponent since Andre, and most likely even before then.
