25 Hidden Gem PPVs To Watch On WWE Network

4. Backlash 2007

On the heels of a historic WrestleMania 23, the Superstars and Divas of WWE rolled into Backlash with momentum on their side. John Cena was fresh off of a successful title defense against Shawn Michaels at the Showcase of the Immortals but for him to hold onto his title, he would have to fend of the Heartbreak Kid for a second time, not to mention Edge and Randy Orton, in a fatal four-way match. Would he succeed in what was a wild, chaotic and crazy contest or would one of his three challengers be able to dethrone the franchise star of WWE? The Undertaker defeated Batista at WrestleMania but, like Cena, would have to square off with him once again if he had plans of leaving Backlash with his title. This time, the giants of the blue brand would wage war in a Last Man Standing match. With the top prize on SmackDown up for grabs, the competitors pulled out all stops, including a finish that has been replicated ever since. Mickie James and Melina brought a new quality to women's wrestling with their battle for the company's Women's Championship, and Chris Benoit defended the United States Championship against MVP, a young star looking to make a name for himself. A quality show overall.
