She wasn't quite "The Man" in NXT, but Becky Lynch was still leading the way for women in wrestling during her time in developmental.

Lynch debuted on NXT TV in 2014 and became part of the lauded "Four Horsewomen". The Horsewomen are known for their revolutionary matches and for helping to change the perspective of women's wrestling in WWE.

Lynch and her fellow Horsewomen put on so many amazing matches with one another, often revolving around the NXT Women's Championships. Despite being the only Horsewoman to never hold the gold, Lynch still put in some great performances in title matches and helped elevate the champions who beat her.

Lynch was never positioned as a star in NXT and was always seen as the fourth most important member of the group. However, her contributions to the success of women's wrestling in NXT and the subsequent success of women's wrestling in the wider company should not be ignored.

She may have been a long way off from main eventing WrestleMania, but Lynch was still a big player in the NXT women's division and perhaps, had she been given the chance, she could have become "The Man" even sooner.
