4. Booker T Is Confused About Who Hulk Hogan Is
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkfhS255dfo Of all the bloopers in wrestling, in-ring or on the mic, there may not be a more famous one on the internet (because it really can't be shown anywhere else) than this one, where Booker T almost saw his entire career go up in flames before he ever became a singles star. In 1997, Booker T was a member of Harlem Heat with his brother, Stevie Ray. They were seven-time WCW Tag Team Champions and one of the most successful teams of all-time. At that year's Spring Stampede pay-per-view, both men would compete in a singles role, participating in a Four Corners Match with Lex Luger and The Giant in a match to crown the #1 Contender for the WCW World Title held by Hollywood Hogan at the time. Before the match, Booker and Stevie were interviewed and that's when Booker blurred the lines between his on-screen character and who he really was, even though there wasn't a big difference between the two. Book was raised in the rough and tumble projects of Houston, Texas. He's as "street" as it gets and he let that slip out during the promo. While working himself into a tizzy, Booker directed his words towards Hogan, saying that either he or Stevie would get past Luger and Giant and would then become the new WCW Champion. Getting caught up in the moment, Booker uttered the now infamous line: "Hulk Hogan, we comin' for you, n***a!" Almost immediately, he put his head in his hands as if to wonder how he could cost himself a job that quickly. The interview continued on with Stevie Ray talking as Booker tried to keep his composure, but the job had been done. Obviously, his career would still flourish but there was plenty of fear as it happened that he was done.
