25 Most Memorable Wrestling Promos Of All-Time

1. The Birth Of Austin 3:16

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQhlaWxMbTg The "Austin Era" officially began when he won the 1996 King Of The Ring and this promo birthed the "Austin 3:16" movement that helped to make Steve Austin one of the most successful acts in the history of the business. If you look at the rest of the top promos on this list, you mostly see people that were already major stars when they cut those promos. CM Punk had already been a World Champion three times (to go with an ECW Title reign and a Ring Of Honor World Title reign) before he dropped the "Pipe Bomb". Dusty Rhodes had already been the NWA World Champion twice before he told his tale about "hard times". Never before, though, had a single promo done so much for one man's career like it did here. Austin was a very successful midcard and tag team worker while in WCW but he never came close to being the top guy. Coming to the WWF as "The Ringmaster" sure made it look like he would never be the top guy for that company, either. Once he was allowed to be more himself instead of playing some silent character, he took off and strapped the entire company on his back. One promo, full of the "attitude" that the company would become known for, started it all.
