As difficult as it may be to believe, we've somehow gone a whole 12 months since the last time WWE brought us everyone's favourite over-the-top-rope spectacle. A lot can change in a year, however, and instead of 40,000 strong filling Minute Maid Park, 2021 will see the first ever ThunderRumble equipped with virtual fans and piped in reactions.

Sure, it may not be the edge-of-your-seat Rumble experience we're used to, and the surprises may not hit in quite the same way (if there even are any!), but a Rumble is a Rumble, regardless.

In true WWE fashion, the last week has been spent reminding us that it's "every person for themselves" come Sunday night, a point crammed down our throats at the expense of a usually stellar Friday Night SmackDown. Infecting the blue show with their trademark nonsensical booking, a cast of Monday Night Muppets invaded a promising AJ Styles Vs Daniel Bryan singles match which ultimately ended with a pin-fall victory...for Sheamus?

Never fear, though, for all that nonsense will soon be forgotten about come Monday morning, with two new Rumble winners crowned and the Road to WrestleMania finally in plain view.
