9. Champion Vs. Champion

Bob Backlund Harley Race Vince Mcmahon Sr On a few rare occasions in the 1970s and early €˜80s, the WWWF and NWA World Champions met in title for title matches. On every occasion, the match would end in a no-contest, leaving both men with their respective championships. The above photograph was taken prior to one of Bob Backlund€™s four matches against Harley Race.

8. Champion Vs. Champion II

Ric Flair Bob Backlund On July 4, 1982, Bob Backlund again defended his WWWF title in a champion vs. champion contest. This time, however, the NWA champ was the €œNature Boy€ Ric Flair. The bout took place in Atlanta, Georgia, following an appearance by Bob on the NWA€™s WTBS television program. Both men were subsequently counted out at around the twenty minute mark with no championships changing hands.

7. Bischoff In The Federation?

Eric Bischoff 1990 Wwf Long before Eric Bischoff became the President of WCW and the bane of Vince McMahon€™s existence, he got his start as an announcer for Verne Gagne€™s American Wrestling Association. However, by 1990, the AWA was on its last legs. As a result, Bischoff went looking for work elsewhere, and the above screenshot acts as proof. Eazy E auditioned to be an announcer for the Federation, but was ultimately not hired.
