25 Worst Wrestling Moments Of 2021

16. Randy Orton vs Alexa Bliss at Fastlane

Randy Orton and 'The Fiend' engaged in all kinds of silliness throughout their feud in 2020. Things ended with Orton setting fire to Bray Wyatt at the TLC PLE. No charges were brought to 'The Viper' for setting a man ablaze, and the feud was finally put to rest. Or so we'd hoped.

Alexa Bliss had been goading Orton, cutting spooky promos towards him on her trademark swing, culminating in an intergender match at Fastlane 2021. WWE rarely indulges in intergender matches, so there was a real sense of anticipation for what they were cooking up for this event.

This was as far from Penta vs Chelsea Green as it's possible to be, as Alexa resorted to supernatural means to attack Orton. Why engage in physical combat when you can shoot fire, collapse lighting rigs, and make a 15-time world champion throw up black goo for absolutely no good reason? With Orton justifiably freaked out by this tomfoolery, 'The Fiend' then returned to WWE by grabbing Orton's ankle through the canvas of the ring. Fire then shot out of the ring canvas, as 'The Fiend' ascended to the surface, hit Randy with Sister Abigail, and aided Bliss to victory. Amazingly, this wasn't even the worst match to include these 3 superstars in 2021.
