25 Worst Wrestling Moments Of 2024

6. Mercedes Moné Vs Britt Baker (AEW All In London)

Chris Jericho
AEW

The bigger the stage they harder they fall, and there's no better example than a WrestleMania clanger elsewhere in this list. But AEW's version of said dud came in the form of Mercedes Moné Vs Britt Baker at All In London. The Wembley crowd were deep into a card that had been booked, promoted and executed substantially better than the show one year prior, with the only thing missing by the time they hit the ring being a bit of a stinker.

Regrettably, the TBS Champion and her Challenger produced just that.

The matchmaking was theoretically perfect in positioning the biggest star the AEW women's division had ever produced taking on the biggest one it had ever signed. Unfortunately, that story never really materialised in the match. None did, in fact. A perplexing exchange of moves filled the long 17 minutes, but a lack of chemistry and heat resulted in almost none of them generating any kind of reaction.

Both needed a banger, but one simply wasn't forthcoming.
