25 Years Of WWE Raw Mistakes

8. 2010 - Cena Dismantles The Nexus (December 6th)

Shane McMahon Vince McMahon
WWE

The WWE Network synopsis for this particular edition of Monday Night Raw describes Wade Barrett 'losing his grip on The Nexus', but in reality he'd done that months ago.

The group never fully recovered from the catastrophic conclusion to their SummerSlam battle with John Cena's squad, but Wade's gang were made even bigger idiots of when 'The Champ' actually benefitted from a firing stipulation.

Ostensibly released from the company as a way to escape his forced place in the group, Cena began tormenting the crew from the unemployment line. On this particular night, he'd not only deck David Otunga and Husky Harris in a hotel room, but also cost Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater their tag team titles against comedy unit Santino and Vladimir Kozlov. Wade himself was abandoned by the group and assaulted in a the main event segment of the show, a week before he rehired the perpetrator to soundly defeat him at that month's pay-per-view.
