26 Times Wrestling Titles Have Been Disrespected

7. Vince Russo - WCW Champion

Whilst Vince McMahon as the WWF Champion was bad, at least McMahon was at one point a physically active semi-regular in-ring performer. Vince Russo, not so much so.

Ric Flair, Sting, Vader, Lex Luger, Ron Simmons becoming the first African-American World Champion, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Goldberg, Kevin Nash, Bret Hart. These are just some of the names to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Then there's Vince Russo.

In the record books, Vince Russo became WCW Champion after defeating Booker T in a cage match. At this time, Russo was also the head booker of the WCW product.

Golderg would interfere in the match and spear Russo through the cage, costing Booker his World Title in the process.

The match itself had so much flawed logic, it was ridiculous. But even more ridiculous, and hugely disrespectful to WCW's biggest prize, was that Vince Russo was officially the WCW World Champion until he vacated the strap a week later.

Still, even having Russo as their World Champion wasn't the worst that WCW would do...
