26 WTF Moments From WWE Raw (Aug 15)

The go home RAW for SummerSlam. Surely this would be one of the best episodes we've seen this decade given the upturn in fortunes since the brand extension? Even though nothing new would happen in terms of matches being made for the red brand's half of Sunday's card, surely our anticipation for the biggest party of the summer would sent through the roof by what happened.

Ahead of the show, General Manager Mick Foley announced that Rusev and Lana would be getting some time in the ring to kick off the show in order to air their grievances after having their wedding celebrations crashed by a dastardly Roman Reigns. While this is great, because I love RuRu, it just further highlights that WWE haven't come up with a unique idea to fill the first segments of the New Era... they're merely replacing Stephanie McMahon with members of the roster.

Here's a unique idea, lads, PUT SOME F*****G WRESTLING ON! We're wrestling fans turning into a wrestling show. We don't need to see a 20 minute monologue to open every show.

Nevertheless, with WWE doing a fantastic job of letting us into the Finn Balor character, rumours were rife that the Demon King would be in attendance on RAW this week. These were intensified when Seth Rollins called Demon out...

Would he? Could he? Surely they'd save it for the PPV...

These are both slightly surprising moments, aren't they? Finding Boring with Roman Reigns' head imposed onto Dory the fish's body is both slightly humorous and topical.

John Cena hates Selena is slightly more of a WTF moment because why? Why does John Cena hate Selena Gomez? What's the reference here that this poor old, but still seriously sick guy doesn't get?
