As if one shock revelation in the first three minutes wasn't enough, it was then announced that the main event would be a King of the Mountain match for the very same belt, essentially making it clear that Jarrett, who won the resurrected title (which has formerly gone under the names of Legends, Global and Television straps) back at Slammiversary, was declaring it vacant. On one hand, it's refreshing that Jarrett didn't shove himself in yet another main event, but at the same time, where's the prestige in winning the title if you're not going to defend it?
