27 WTF Moments From WWE SmackDown Live (Sept 13)

The last time we saw John Cena on WWE programming he was flat on his back and losing to AJ Styles. He hasn't been seen since, he hasn't done anything to rebuild his career (kayfabe, people!) after such a devastating loss.

How then, after a three week absence, can he just waltz back on television and have a WWE World Championship match request granted by Shane McMahon?

What's he done to deserve that? AJ has already beaten him twice in pay per view singles matches. He's already put a potential triangle series to bed!

This is an incredibly strange call, especially when you consider that former Champion Dean Ambrose is due a one-on-one match thanks to that fabled rematch clause that should have been written in Backlash's main event's contract.

Deano won't be getting that, it seems. It looks like he'll have to settle for a Triple Threat bout.
