2. "We Sat At Home Watching Our Parents On Television"
Strangely, the final segment of Raw was a contract signing between Paige and Charlotte for their upcoming Divas Championship bout - hardly the biggest match on the Survivor Series card. My best guess is that WWE were attempting to cash-in on the furore surrounding Ronda Rousey's shocking defeat to Holly Holm, by sticking two of their female workers in the spotlight. It's a rather heavy-handed tactic, if true. Charlotte cut an emotional promo, bringing up her (tragically deceased) younger brother and mentioning the difficulties of growing up in a wrestling family. She mentioned the common ground between herself and Paige, explaining how hard it was for both to sit at home, watching their absent parents on TV. While that backstory may be true for Ric Flair's daughter, it seems a little strange to apply to Paige. The Brit also grew up in a wrestling household, but took a far more immediate role - making her debut at the outrageously young age of 13. Also, without sounding too harsh, the Knight family aren't exactly in Ric Flair's level of stardom, are they? Paige was probably watching her family from the front row of the local bingo hall.
