28 WTF Moments From WWE Raw (Sept 5)

Another set of competitors for the new RAW Cruiserweight Division was announced on this week's RAW, including folk like Jack Gallagher who have already been eliminated from the Cruiserweight Classic.

If every member of the classic that made it past the second round is going to be part of RAW's newest division? What on earth of those still left in the CWC fighting for? If anything, not having that abomination of a trophy sounds more appealing than going through all of that effort to win it if the end result for all is a place on RAW.

I've got to be honest, the CWC has failed to capture my imagination. On the face of things, and having watched the first two rounds of matches, those involved are just wrestling for wrestling's sake. Gargano and Ciampa aside, there's very little story in there. I need a reason to be invested in these men, other than 'they're great in the ring.'

Surely the powers that be now need to announce that the CWC is for the new RAW Cruiserweight Championship, just to make it seem worthwhile.

If they're all going to be on RAW anyway, that trophy and bragging rights simply doesn't seem worth the competitors' time and efforts, does it?
