Al Wilson, best remembered amongst wrestling fans for his on-screen love affair with Dawn Marie, died on 4 April - just days before his daughter Torrie was inducted into WWE's Hall of Fame.

Wilson had no prior involvement in the wrestling business, but quickly became a household name when he was inserted into a lengthy SmackDown storyline as Dawn Marie's aged beau in 2002 - much to the chagrin of Torrie. The angle - which ran for four months - eventually saw the novice hit the ring for a match alongside Rikishi opposite Matt Hardy & Dawn Marie.

Against Torrie's best wishes, Al and Dawn eventually tied the knot in January 2003, leading to a memorable skit in which the elderly newlywed passed away from 'overstimulation' during a night of passion with his bride. This, inevitably, led to a catfight between Torrie and Dawn at the funeral.

In the week of her Hall of Fame accolade, Torrie revealed on Instagram that her father had passed away. She shared the following message:

"Just wanted to tell you to make that call to a loved one, don’t put it off… and TELL someone you love 'em and don’t think twice about it."

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
