Smashing Pumpkins frontman and "TNA Executive" Billy Corgan then came out to the ring to pay tribute to Hebner, and appeared to be strangely nervous despite having played to arenas jam-packed with tens of thousands of screaming fans for years. He tripped over his words, referring to Hebner's "caleer" rather than "career", but he seemed genuinely happy to be there at least. Sadly, though, most of the audience didn't seem to know or care about who he was, so he got zero reaction and probably left a lot of people scratching their heads. To others, they just learned that the Smashing Pumpkins guy is working for TNA, which is always a mind = blown moment.
