The match ends when EC3 tries to get himself disqualified by hitting Matt with a chair, but Jeff has none of it, cracking the chair over his back and nailing him with a Twist of Fate. Matt then manages to nail a Twist of Fate of his own on Drew Galloway, while Jeff makes the 3-count, with Matt winning his first TNA World Title (and his second world title ever). Though Matt not making the pin on EC3 makes sense for two reasons: a) EC3 is still un-pinned and b) it doesn't make the cheating look quite so bad, Jeff still gave Matt a massive advantage at the crucial moment by taking EC3 out of the equation. You then have to wonder why, with two young guys in the ring, TNA honestly felt like the future of the company rested in he hands of the second-most popular Hardy brother who is already over 40 years old. Matt may be a talented worker, but with TNA needing to prove their financial worth in the coming months, is this really the way to do it?
