3 Months After All Out, AEW's Backstage Morale Has Rebounded

It seems AEW has finally put CM Punk and The Elite's backstage brawl behind itself...

AEW's backstage situation appears to have improved since the chaos of All Out 2022, with morale on the up again.

Fightful Select reports that people within the AEW locker room have only had positive things to say about the company's mood and direction lately. This comes just over three months after complete mayhem engulfed the promotion at All Out, where CM Punk and Ace Steel brawled with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks after an incendiary media scrum.

Punk's comments on AEW's EVPs, 'Hangman' Adam Page, and Colt Cabana prompted The Elite to approach him in his locker room after the scrum. A fight broke out, moving AEW to suspend everybody who was in the room at the time, though several backstage staff members were quickly reinstated when an investigation decreed they had tried to break the melee up.

Steel was released soon after. Stripped of their Trios World Championships, Kenny and The Bucks were sidelined until Full Gear in November. Punk, meanwhile, remains locked in negotiations with AEW over a potential contract buyout, with the hold-up reportedly coming from AEW's side.

Nonetheless, it appears that at least in some ways, AEW is putting the brawl behind it.
