Things are getting dicey for cult promotion Lucha Underground, with three of the company's top stars reportedly hiring legal representation to secure a release from their restrictive contracts.

Per Lucha Central, the performers in question are Famous B, XO Lishus (who recently signed for All Elite Wrestling as Sonny Kiss), and former Lucha Underground Champion Matanza, better known as Ring Of Honor TV and New Japan Pro Wrestling NEVER Openweight Champion Jeff Cobb.

Willie Mack's name has also been mentioned, though it's thought that he is yet to secure formal legal representation. LU's Dorian Roldan recently threatened to send cease and desist orders to ROH and the NWA for using Mack on recent shows.

It has been a year of turmoil for Lucha Underground, whose future is never not hanging in the balance. A recent class action lawsuit between the promotion's network and production company and Ivelisse, Kobra Moon, Joey Ryan, and El Hijo del Fantasma saw all four escape their contracts. Now, with their next season yet to be officially confirmed, it looks like LU could be stripped of further talent, to the point where they may no longer have enough to make up the numbers.
