3 Ups & 10 Downs From WWE Raw (Aug 3)

4. This Entire Mess

We need to stop giving WWE credit for "advancing the storyline" when the matches and segments in which these storylines are advanced are a total mess, as was the case with the Street Profits vs. Angel Garza and Andrade last night.

Our first slice was Angelo Dawkins wrestling Garza. A dopy subplot had Zelina Vega worrying that her charge was more concerned with backstage guest Demi Burnett, who was introduced through one of those corny "HEY LOOK AT THIS CELEBRITY!" segments, and it concluded when Montez Ford was seemingly poisoned (!?), passing out at ringside. Ford and Andrade then wrestled a no-contest when the referee called off the bout after Ford succumbed to his poisoning once again.

It was later insinuated that Vega made Ford sick, leading to a scrap between her and Bianca Belair.

Wacky, disruptive Sports Entertainment tropes aplenty here, and the action wasn't strong enough to compensate. At least it should get 'The EST of WWE' a televised singles match: RAW desperately needs more of her.
