Hope you weren’t sick of Drew McIntyre challenging Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship because you’re getting it again in less than three weeks, whether you like it or not.

McIntyre defeated Kofi Kingston clean in a really good #1 contender’s match on Monday night, setting himself up for what will be his third shot at Lashley’s world title in two months. It will also be the fifth world title match between the two in the past year.

WWE had the chance to really elevate Kofi – at least for one month – as a different flavor-of-the-month challenger, allowing McIntyre to cool off and put a little distance between Lashley and him. Then, when they want to go back to the feud in July in front of live fans, the rivalry would feel a bit fresher.

If they don’t pull the trigger here and change the title, this needs to be McIntyre’s last shot at the title for a while. Three unsuccessful challenges would be getting into Lex Luger territory.
