3 Ups & 12 Downs From WWE Raw (May 31)

1. Who Is Rhea Ripley? No One Knows.

During Miz TV on Monday night, Miz asked a question that nearly everyone has been asking since Rhea Ripley officially debuted on the red brand: Who is she? What makes her tick?

Miz asked that question, as well as why she was so mysterious, what her tattoos mean, and why she has such a hardened exterior. All of these are really relevant questions that would help shed some light on Ripley’s character and who she is.

Unfortunately, not a single one of those questions were answered. John Morrison asked her for her favorite garlic bread recipe – because she might be a vampire. Rhea replied with the only line her “character” will allow: “I’m not a vampire; I’m a nightmare.”

Yep, three-plus months into her run on the main roster, and Ripley’s entire character consists of her being “a nightmare.” And it doesn’t seem like we’re ever going to get anything more out of her as long as these writers don’t see it as a priority.

It’s really, really sad.
